~ Lyrics ~
Water You turned into wine, open the eyes of the blind
There’s no one like You, none like You

Into the darkness You shine, out of the ashes we rise
There’s no one like You, none like You

Our God is greater, our God is stronger
God You are higher than any other
Our God is Healer, awesome and power
Our God, Our God…

Into the darkness you shine, out of the ashes we Rise
There’s no One like You, none like You.

And if Our God is for us,
then who could ever stop us
And if our God is with us,
Then what could stand against?
And if Our God is for us,
Then who could ever stop us
And if our God is with us,
Then what could stand against?
What could stand against?

Many people have those “if” questions about their life and I am sure many have “if” questions about God, but how many ask “if” questions that affirm God’s greatness and power, that cause us to realize his uniqueness and unsurpassable glory, and that evoke in our hearts a conviction that with him we are immovable, infinity stronger, and undefeatable.

The gentle crescendo of this song builds a sacred energy and excitement in my heart every time I hear it. I feel a surge of confidence in being reminded that by myself I am on a losing team, but with God I am on a team that can never lose. This song elicits a fearlessness and indomitable spirit that tells me how I rise out of the ashes to be an overcomer with the awesome power of our God. With God nothing can stand against me!

Sometimes gathering boldness and courage in life is like hiking up a mountain one step at a time but then as you keep climbing, your pace increases and when you near the top your walk turns into a run and whatever aches and pains you might have felt during the long journey up the side of the mountain flee into nothing and are but an after-thought and your heart beats with the joy of victory and accomplishment knowing that every mountain can be overcome with God but it might just take walking up its steepest slope until you reach the top.

If there was an anthem to be sung about the strength of our God, this song expresses the essence of that anthem. While the OT contains amazing imagery and testimony to the greatness of God’s power (Ps Ps 66:3; 68:35; 135:5;145:6). Some of the greatest words in the NT about the strength of God come from the eighth chapter in the letter to the Romans. With God nothing can stop us and nothing can stop us from being with God!

Romans 8:31, 38-39 ESV
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?…For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
